December News Update

Hastings & Rother placed in Tier 4

Following a major spike in cases of Covid-19 locally, the Government announced at the weekend Hastings & Rother are now in full Tier 4 restrictions. Full guidance about what you can and cannot do in Tier 4 can be found by clicking here. In the meantime, a town-wide communications exercise is being undertaken to help people understand what they need to do to help StOp the Spread.

Please keep an eye out for any further advice and, if you are concerned, you are advised to get a test at one of the centres open locally. You can book a test by applying here.

Volunteering safely

Volunteering, and helping people cope with the impacts of the pandemic will be needed now more than ever. As a result, HEART will try to keep as active as possible over Xmas and over this next period. Given the new restrictions, it is more important than ever to do so safely. All our volunteers who have indicated they are willing to help people in the community are being sent new, clear guidelines on how to do so safely and securely. If you want to help us help people in this coming period but have not yet been contacted by us, please go to our new forms detailing how you can help by clicking here. And thank you. Any help you might be able to give is hugely appreciated.

HEART PPE Equipment

HEART has PPE Equipment available for volunteers in the field if you do not have your own. This includes Hi-Viz jackets to identify you as a volunteer and HEART facemasks. These are free to our active volunteers. Jackets are in Medium, Large or Xtra-large. If you require a Jacket or mask, please email us with your size to info@hastingsheart.com

Please take a moment to look at the tasks involved. If you have helped us in the past, please help us by filling in an update form indicating which roles you might be interested in by clicking here.
