Refugee Week Celebrations

Can you offer an hour of your time, to sit and chat on the Chatty Bench for Refugee Week 2022 (June 20th - June 26th)?

HEART has teamed up with Hastings Refugee Buddy Project to offer kindness and conversation to anyone who wants to sit and chat for a while, on the painted sun-trap benches along the St Leonards Prom (next to Goatledge cafe). Making connections, meeting someone new, hearing stories, finding shared interests, being a listening ear - let’s take time to talk and heal together in challenging times. There will be a unique series of creative actions and events taking place in multiple locations across Hastings & St Leonards and beyond to celebrate the week.  The war in Ukraine has brought the situation for refugees to the forefront of all our minds and so the theme this year is TOGETHER: healing through creativity and conversations.
